Expert Notes

WHY THE ORIGINAL VENT FAILS

Dashboard vents are handled constantly and sit in direct sun, so over time the thin louvres snap, the adjuster wheel strips, or the whole vent fades and rattles in its opening. Once a vent will not hold its position or a louvre breaks off, airflow can no longer be aimed and the dashboard looks tired. This POM replacement restores smooth louvre movement and a firm, factory fit, with a chrome surround for a cleaner finish.

WHAT TO CHECK BEFORE ORDERING

Compare your existing vent to OE 8200212480 and confirm the round opening and overall size match your dashboard. This vent is shared across many Renault and Dacia models and fits all four dashboard positions, so you can use it in any opening — order multiple pieces if you are replacing more than one. Choose this chrome version for an upgraded look, or the plain black version to match a standard interior.

PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION NOTES

Fitting takes only a minute and needs no tools. Gently lever the old vent out of its opening, taking care not to damage the surrounding trim, then line up the new vent and press it in evenly until all retaining clips click home. Check that the louvres and adjuster move freely and that the vent sits flush before refitting any trim.
