This headlight repair kit renews the broken plastic mounting brackets that hold the left headlight in place on the BMW 5 Series E60 and E61. WHY THIS PART FAILS

On the E60 and E61 the headlights hang on slim plastic mounting tabs that become brittle with heat and age and snap easily in a minor front knock or even when the headlight is removed for a bulb. Once a tab breaks the headlight sits loose, rattles, or its aim drops. This kit renews those mounts so the light sits solidly again.

This is the LEFT headlight bracket kit (OE 63126941478, with 63126949633) for the BMW 5 Series E60 and E61; the right side uses OE 63126942478. Compare the bracket shapes against your broken tabs before ordering, as the mounts differ slightly by side.

PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION NOTES

Remove the headlight, then fit the new brackets to its mounting bosses with the supplied screws, matching the positions of the original broken tabs. Refit the headlight, check it clips and bolts in securely with no play, and reset the beam alignment before use.
