WHY THIS PART FAILS AND HOW THIS KIT SOLVES IT

On the 208 II and 2008 II the headlight is located by slim plastic lugs molded into the housing, and these lugs snap in low-speed parking impacts, stone strikes or simply when the lamp is removed carelessly. Because the housing itself cannot be repaired invisibly, the official solution is a complete new headlight at many times the cost — particularly painful on these models with their full-LED units. This kit solves the problem economically: three precision-molded brackets screw onto the original housing and recreate the broken mounting points with original geometry.

WHAT TO CHECK BEFORE PURCHASING

This kit repairs the LEFT headlight; the right side uses OEM number 1656169480. Inspect your lamp first and confirm the damage is limited to the mounting lug area; a cracked lens or a broken internal adjuster is not repaired by this kit. The kit covers the second-generation 208 and 2008 from 2019 onwards, including the electric versions; the previous 208 (2012–2019) uses a different headlight design. Compare the bracket shapes with the broken sections of your housing before purchase.

PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION NOTES

Remove the front bumper and the headlight following the procedure for your model, then clean each broken lug area and remove loose fragments so the brackets seat flat on the housing. Fix each bracket with the supplied screws without overtightening, as the housing plastic can strip, then refit the headlight and check the panel gaps to the bonnet and bumper before final tightening. Verify the beam height with a headlight aligner after any headlamp removal; on LED units, confirm the levelling function operates correctly before returning the vehicle to service.
