WHY HEADLIGHT MOUNTING BRACKETS FAIL AND HOW THIS KIT SOLVES IT

The factory mounting brackets on the 3008 II and 5008 II headlight housing are thin plastic points exposed to constant engine-bay heat cycles and road vibration. Over time, or after a minor front impact, these brackets crack or snap off completely, leaving the headlight loose in its frame. A loose headlight vibrates while driving, loses its beam alignment and lets moisture work into the housing. This repair kit replaces the broken brackets with three newly molded POM plastic parts secured by the supplied screws, restoring the original fixation geometry at a fraction of the cost of a complete headlight assembly.

This kit is for the LEFT side headlight only; a separate kit is available for the right side. This kit repairs the mounting points of the headlight; it does not include lenses, bulbs or adjusters.

PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION NOTES

Remove the headlight from the vehicle for clean access to the mounting points. Remove all fragments of the broken original brackets and degrease the contact surfaces before fitting the new parts. Fix each repair bracket using the supplied screws, seating it fully against the housing, and verify the headlight locks into its body-side fixings without play before final assembly. After installation, check and adjust the headlight beam alignment, as a previously loose unit will almost certainly have drifted out of its correct aiming position.
