WHY THIS CABLE FAILS AND HOW THIS ONE FIXES IT

The front inner release Bowden cable is worked every time the door is opened from inside, and over the years the thin steel strands fray or snap while the small plastic end clips turn brittle and break. When that happens the interior handle suddenly feels loose with little resistance, and the front door may refuse to open or fail to lock properly. This replacement uses a stainless steel inner cable inside a protected, grommet-sealed housing to restore firm handle tension and clean latch operation on both front doors.

PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION NOTES

Remove the interior door card and the moisture barrier to reach the latch and handle mechanism, then unclip the old cable from the handle lever and the latch. Route the new cable along the original path without sharp bends, press the rubber grommet fully into the door panel, and seat both end clips until they audibly lock. Operate the handle several times to confirm smooth travel and full latch release before refitting the trim.
