WHY THE SWITCH FAILS AND HOW THIS UNIT FIXES IT

The Cruze and Orlando master switch carries the current for all four windows and the child lock circuit, so its contacts take far more load than any passenger switch. Over time the contacts wear and oxidise and the rocker pivots loosen, leaving windows that work intermittently, move in only one direction or stop altogether, and the child lock can stop isolating the rear switches. This replacement renews all four switches and the lock function in one unit, restoring full control from the driver's seat.

BEFORE YOU BUY

This switch fits the Chevrolet Cruze saloon, hatchback and estate and the Chevrolet Orlando with four electric windows, in the driver's door of left-hand and right-hand drive vehicles. It does not fit Opel or Buick models, which use a different switch. Compare it with your old part: it must carry OE 20917577 or 13305295, have four window buttons with a child lock button below them and use an 8-pin connector. The housing and buttons are black; the hidden connector colour may vary by production batch and does not affect fitment or performance.

PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION NOTES

Switch the ignition off or disconnect the battery negative terminal before starting. Ease the switch out of the door trim with a plastic trim tool, working from the edge to avoid marking the trim, and never pull it out by its wiring. Press the locking tab to unplug the 8-pin connector, plug in the new unit until it clicks, then test all four windows and the child lock before pressing the switch fully home. If a window has a one-touch function, run it fully up and down once so the system relearns its end positions.
