WHY REAR REFLECTORS FAIL

Rear bumper reflectors sit low and take the brunt of parking knocks, towbar contact and stone chips. Over time, UV exposure fades the red lens and makes the plastic brittle, until the reflector cracks, loses its clips or falls out of the bumper. A missing or damaged reflector reduces the vehicle's visibility from behind at night, and in many countries it is an inspection fail. A new reflector restores the correct red reflection and a flush bumper finish.

WHAT TO CHECK BEFORE BUYING

This reflector is for the rear left side only; the right side is a separate mirror-image part. Confirm that your car is a Dacia Duster (first generation, off-road or van) or a Renault Wind, and that the part number 265654344R matches. Compare the shape and clip positions with your old reflector. The Duster II and later generations use a different design. Colour: red, as required for rear reflex reflectors.

PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION NOTES

If the old reflector is broken, remove any clip remnants from the bumper recess before fitting the new one. Work at room temperature so the clips flex rather than snap. Press the reflector in evenly along its length, not just at one end, until every clip engages and the lens sits flush with the bumper surface. Check that it is firmly retained by pulling gently at both ends.
