PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION NOTES

Slide the door fully open and lock it in position before starting. Peel the old seal off the flange, scrape away rubber residue and old sealant with a plastic scraper, and degrease the flange so the metal carrier can grip cleanly. Fit the new seal starting at the lower corner, pressing the metal-cored channel squarely onto the flange with palm pressure and working around the aperture in short sections; feed the rubber loosely into the corners without stretching it. Check that the seal does not foul the sliding door rollers or the latch striker, then cycle the door several times to bed the profile in. A slightly firmer closing action is normal for the first days of use.
