OMNIVALEA Window Regulator Clip 4 Pcs Front BMW 3 Series E46 51338218383

WHY THE CLIP FAILS

On the E46 the plastic clips that join the window glass to the regulator rail age and harden with years of heat and use. Once one cracks, the glass tilts, drops into the door, makes a clicking or grinding noise or stops moving while the motor still runs. The regulator itself is often fine, so new clips are the cheaper repair.

CHECK BEFORE YOU BUY

These clips match OE 51338218383 for the front doors of the BMW 3 Series Saloon (E46), 1998–2005. Touring, Coupé, Convertible and Compact models are not confirmed for this part number. If the window motor does not run at all, or the regulator cable is frayed or snapped, the clips alone will not fix the fault.

PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION NOTES

Remove the door card and peel back the moisture membrane carefully so it can be resealed. Lower the glass until the clips are reachable, support the glass with tape or a wedge, then release it from the regulator. Remove every fragment of the old clip from the rail, fit the new clip, refit the glass and run the window through its full travel before closing the door.
