WHY THIS PART FAILS

On the Peugeot 508, the rear door window is raised by thin steel cables running over a plastic pulley and a glass-carrier slider. After years of use the cables fray and snap, the pulley wears, and the carrier clip cracks, so the window drops into the door, jams half-open or makes a grinding noise. This kit renews exactly those wear items, letting the original regulator and motor be reused instead of buying a complete assembly.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Confirm the door side and that your car is a first-generation 508 (8D_ saloon or 8E_ SW, 2010–2018); the second-generation 508 from 2018 uses a different regulator and is not covered. Match the OE number on your old regulator (9223H6, 9223H5 or 9806087180) and compare the cable routing and slider shape against the photos before fitting, as the left and right sides are mirror images.

INSTALLATION NOTES

Carry out the repair with the door trim and water shield removed and the glass safely supported in the raised position. Route the new cables exactly as the originals and keep the spring tension correct so the cables stay seated in the pulley grooves, because incorrect routing is the most common cause of a repeat failure. Cycle the window slowly by hand to confirm smooth travel, then reconnect the motor and test under power.
